The Engrafted Word- Boyace Van Harlan Jr., PhD

imageJames 1:21 admonishes us to receive with meekness the engrafted Word of God that is able to save our lives. When God’s Word is engrafted or infused into our spirits it has become a part of us, and even in our most vulnerable and weakest moments the Word became flesh rises up within us and enables us to get the victory!

Imaginal Cells- Boyace Van Harlan Jr., PhD

imageI just watched a movie entitled “Liberal Arts”. In the movie this advisor (Josh Radnor) becomes romantically involved with a student (Elizabeth Olsen). Any way, I found the movie to be quite entertaining. There are a lot of great scenes but one in particular was very interesting. Josh meets this odd character whose name I can’t remember starts talking about “imaginal cells”. He talked about how when these imaginal cells show up in the caterpillar how the normal cells immediately start attacking. They literally war against transformation, recreation metamorphosis! Do we have the same war to contend with in ourselves when we truly embark to change within ourselves? In the caterpillar state we create suffering for ourselves. We encase ourselves from the world. If we embrace our change, welcome it, we will win the war.

Feast on God’s Love- Boyace VanHarlan Jr., PhD

In Leviticus 7:31 we are told that Aaron and his sons feasted on the breast on the sacrificed animal. The breast on the animal speaks of the love of Christ. Revelations 1:6 tells us that we are Priests and Kings. The breast was roasted by fire. Leviticus 7:35. This speaks of the judgement on Jesus as He  hung on the cross because He was carrying our sins. Let yourself enjoy being loved by Him. Lean on the bosom of El Shadai oh breasty one, abide in His love and be nourished by His love for you! There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
